Handy new free service

I recently discovered a handy new service that you might find useful. Have you ever been driving around town and saw an address or sign that you wanted to remember? You did not have a pen and paper handy or could not stop the car.
By the time you got home you forgot what it was or even what it was about.
Next time you can call a number, say what it is you want to remember and have it emailed or text messaged to yourself or anyone else you have on your list of contacts. The service is called Jott and it is free. You register at www.jott.com and
put in a list of email addresses that you want to send messages to. You can even include your own email to send messages to your self. You can create groups to sent the same message to a number of people at the same time. You can post to you blog. Jott transcribes your voice into text. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now. Works pretty good most of the time. Sometimes with background noise it has trouble understanding. The message recording time is only 30 seconds. I tried to send this blog post and found that I had to break it into 3 recordings. So it works pretty well most of the time. I am still learning different uses and applications for it. Jott sends a daily email with tips on how to use it.
So try it out. And make sure you have Jott on your speed dial.

Money and Credit

The Rich Fisherman Story

Years ago, I was at a local car dealership Pickup truck. The salesman told me a story about something that happened at the upscale auto dealership next door.

One day a man walked into the office of an upscale auto dealership. The man was carefully observed by each of the veteran car salesmen. Each, one by one, decided to ignore the potential customer. These salesmen had several years of experience dealing with customers. They could tell that this guy would never buy a car.
Most people, at least one who have the means to buy a car there came in neatly dressed. Obviously they were the sort of customer with good credit and and a good down payment. They had good jobs because they were “our kind of people”.
The man who walked in that day was definitely not one of those. Not having bathed for days, his hair was unkempt and his face was unshaven. Clothes torn and stained. And he smelled.
Must be a bum.

The Prestige

Recently, I rented a movie. It was titled,” The Prestige” . It is the story of two stage magicians during the late 1800's. These two men were motivated by mutual hatred to attempt to best each other professionally as well as personally. One magician, “Borden” creates an illusion where he is magically transported instantly from one side of the stage to the other. The other magician, Angier contracts the scientist, Nikole Tesla to build him a device that will out do the transport trick.

The TRUTH About Credit Repair...

=======================================

Have you ever wondered what companies
send you when they claim you can erase
bad credit overnight? How about those
ads that say you can get any major
credit
card without a deposit or a credit
check?

Ads abound almost everywhere
these days (online and off) selling
books, systems and secrets to
help you fix your credit. Many
of these programs have claims
which read like the covers of
supermarket tabloids:

"In 3hrs my credit score jumped
from 580 to 676!"...

"Erase bad credit and smash your
debts with just 2 Magic Letters!".

Are these types of claims ALWAYS
too good to be true? The answer is
"Yes and... no".

While many people would love for
you to believe the only thing that
can fix bad credit is time; in
reality... nothing could be further
from the truth. The fact is, time
is only one factor which can fix
a credit report, but it's a far cry
from being the only factor. How
can I back this up? Easy.

Under a consumer protection law
known as the Fair Credit Reporting
Act (a.k.a. the FCRA) the only
negative information which can
remain on your credit report is
not what is accurate... but what
can be proved as accurate under
the FCRA. What's this mean
to you?

It means any negative item on
your credit report can only remain
there if it is accurate and CAN
BE PROVED AS SUCH under the
guidelines of the FCRA. This
undisputable fact presents
consumers with both good
news and bad news.

The good news is that through
the FCRA your credit score can
most likely be improved dramatically
in a very short period of time with
only a modest amount of effort on
your part.

The bad news is that while the
actual "work" will take very little
of your time, it is vital that you
have good information on "how"
to go about it. This is the bad
news; 9 out of 10 courses on
restoring your credit will do nothing
more than lead you into snake
pits because they will provide
you with what the industry refers
to as "Boiler Plate" dispute letters.
These are nothing more than form
letters and... quite frankly (more
bad news) the Credit Bureaus and
Creditors will laugh at you if you
try to use them.

While I agree with the Federal Trade
Commission (FTC) that "Anything a
Credit Repair Clinic can do for you
legally, you can do for yourself at
little or not cost"... the key element
you need for success is the latest
inside techniques and procedures
to get the results you want. This
involves strategies such as "Proof
of Contract", "Constructive Notice",
"Challenge of Procedure" or
"Restrictive Endorsement" and many
others.

All these terms may "sound" impressive
but they are really quite simple. In
the
end, it is nothing more than a method
of communication which exercises your
consumer protection rights, gets the
results you want and raises your credit
score. Even more impressive, once you
learn how simple it can be by doing it
for
yourself, you will find there is a
fortune
to be made doing it for others! Either
way, it all starts by requesting a free
copy of your credit report here:

In the next segment we'll talk about:

"Is Your Credit Score Costing
You A Fortune?"

However, Tesla's machine is not a trick. It really works. But instead of transporting the subject, it creates an identical copy.
Angier uses the machine to confound the world with his instant teleportation on stage. Of course the problem is that Angier has to destroy the copies.
After watching the movie, I suddenly realized that Angier was stupid. Instead of trying to outperform his rival, he could have been making copies. Copies of gold. Copies of diamonds. Copies of money.
He had an instant wealth machine.
But he was too blinded by his hatred to see the opportunity.

Each of the salesmen observed the bum and dismissed him as a waste of time. Finally, the newest salesman, in the dealership said, “I might as well say hello and find out what he wants”. The new salesman asked the bum, “How can I be of service?” The bum replied, “I want to buy this car.” pointing to the top of the line model on the showroom floor. “OK”, said the salesman, “Lets start by running your credit.” “No credit... CASH!”, said the bum. The bum took out brand new hundred dollar bills out of his wallet. He paid cash and drove the car off the lot.
See, the bum had just com back from a fishing trip. He was really a multimillionaire who wanted to test the the salespeople.
Because the salesman was willing to take a chance on a bum, he not only made a sale, but gained a faithful customer. The customer came back each year and bought a new car from the same salesman - cash.

About me

About me...

I am somewhat reluctant to talk about me. Why should anyone care to hear about me or what I have to say? I have been toying with the idea of writing a blog for a while. But may be an interesting experiment to see how it goes. So this a general synopsis of my life which may get more detailed as this blog evolves.

I grew up in a conservative Christian home in the south.

Graduated Sigma Cum Laude from a small Pentecostal Bible College. By my senior year I had become disillusioned about Christianity. Since then I have struggled with understanding God/spirituality/truth.

Politically, I was raised pretty much like any other American at the time. My dad was a staunch Republican. My mother was a Democrat. I took the Democratic track thinking that they were trying to help people. I bought into the American Dream. Loving our country and our freedom. Proud to live in a country with the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Freedom and Democracy.

By my college graduation, I was married and had to start earning a living. The problem is that I did not want to go work in a church, so my degree was pretty much worthless. I worked a number of jobs from construction to phone room customer service positions. Low pay, no future. Always hoping to create that dream of a better life. I life of financial and personal freedom.

As I lived my life, I had a nagging suspicion that things may not be what we were taught all along. Aside from normal human frailties, things did not add up. Religious leaders who promised salvation and enlightenment, but had no clue. Politicians. Why did they keep doing things that were obviously so stupid and wrong? Financial Gurus who taught how to get rich, then go broke or even go to jail for fraud.

I have studied yoga, meditation, reincarnation, out of body experiences, rebirthing and general “New Age” philosophy. I am a third degree Rieki, and a Quantum Touch practitioner. I am a student of NLP and hypnosis. I am a certified Handwriting Analyst. I have never seen (as far as I know) an angel, UFO, god, devil, alien, or reptilian, although I have met people who say they have.

I can not say at this time that those things do or do not exist. I am not dismissing the possibility either.

I have studied the works of various sources such as Nexus Magazine, David Icke, Jeff Rense, Alex Jones, Greg Sysmanski, Alan Watt and others. I can not say that I agree with any of them 100%.

I can not say I disagree with them totally either.

I have come to the conclusion, based on what I have learned, tied in with what I have learned about history, that much of what they say is true. There are layers of deception in our knowledge. Much of what we have to do is sort out the truth from the BS.

From previous experience with direct marketing, I have become intrigued with writing, especially copywriting. Marketing and Internet sales is something I have been learning about lately. I have been studying copywriting from AIWA. Catalog copywriting from Jay White.

So that is what this blog will be about. Sharing some information and insights that you might find interesting or useful or challenging. Sharing some opportunities for change.

Now, I don't claim to have all the answers. I think I have some of them. And I am figuring out what questions they go with.

Do not believe anything I say just because I say it. Please do your own research. Anyone can write a book or a blog or a website. Just because it is on the TV, or the evening news or the newspaper does not mean it is true. Be your own guru.
